Start with the same stay and vessel
Ask each marina to quote for the same boat, dates and berth type. Length-based prices may not explain a catamaran’s width, a large tender or a different power requirement, so describe the whole vessel.
Separate a casual stay from a long-term arrangement. A nightly rate, annual licence, lease or purchase has different commitments; comparing only the headline dollar figure hides the decision.

List every inclusion and extra
Put power, water, parking, security access, amenities, storage, haul-out, visitor privileges and waste services on separate lines. Ask what is metered, separately booked or restricted to berth holders.
Add one-off deposits or administration charges only after the operator confirms them. We do not publish rate tables because they can change and because the terms behind a rate are often more important than the number.

Price the time and travel as well
A cheaper pen may cost more in road travel, fuel spent reaching open water or time lost to access windows. Estimate your usual journey to the boat and from the pen to your sailing grounds.
Cost is a tie-breaker after fit, access and safety. Shortlist only marinas that can actually accommodate your boat and routine, then compare the complete cost of those options.
