Emu Point (Albany), Western Australia
Boat harbour in Oyster Harbour 9 km from the centre of Albany with 50 commercial and recreational boat pens, four jetties, a three-lane boat ramp and fish-cleaning facilities, plus a further 60 recreational pens owned and operated by the City of Albany.
Albany, Western Australia
DoT-managed marina at the foot of Albany's main street on Princess Royal Harbour, handed over in 2011 as part of the $42 million waterfront redevelopment, with about 75 floating pens for recreational and commercial vessels and capacity for further expansion. The service wharf offers high-flow diesel and sullage pump-out, and there is a two-lane ramp, visitor jetty, fishing platform and pen-holder laundry.
Ascot, Western Australia
Privately owned marina tucked into a sheltered cove of the Swan River at Ascot about 7 km east of the Perth CBD, leasing fully serviced floating pens for vessels under 12 m with electronic gate access, plus a handful of day-use visitor berths by prior arrangement.
Augusta, Western Australia
DoT-managed boat harbour opened in 2014 in Flinders Bay near Cape Leeuwin, the only established safe short-term boating facility along the 430 km of coastline between Busselton and Albany. Facilities include 40 boat pens, a four-lane ramp, a 50 m land-backed service wharf, toilets and showers, and 24-hour CCTV; about 28 pens are hired annually with casual pens for visiting vessels.
Geraldton, Western Australia
DoT-managed marina close to Geraldton's city centre, completed in 1995 and expanded from 84 to 118 pens in August 2025 with a new floating jetty capable of berthing vessels up to 25 m. A popular base for Abrolhos Islands charters, it offers a service jetty, three-lane ramp and pen-holder amenities; diesel is available at the nearby Fishermen's Wharf.

DoT-managed boat harbour in a retail and tourist precinct between Bunbury's CBD and Koombana Bay, with 48 recreational and five commercial boat pens, swing moorings, a slipway currently capable of vessels up to 40 tonnes, a service jetty and two public boat ramps.

Bandy Creek (Esperance), Western Australia
DoT-managed commercial fishing boat harbour about 10 km east of Esperance with 48 berths (about 20 used by recreational vessels), including Mediterranean-style 11 m and 12 m recreational pens, a 150 m land-backed service wharf with diesel fuelling, a trawler jetty with two 30 m berths and a privately operated 60-tonne slipway.
Exmouth, Western Australia
One of DoT's busiest maritime facilities, transformed by an $18 million Stage 2 upgrade officially opened in 2018 with 39 additional cyclone-rated commercial and recreational pens, an 88 m wharf extension with a 40 m heavy-lift zone, cyclone moorings and a fuel farm. Base Marine operates a 320-tonne boat lifter and repair facility on site.
Exmouth, Western Australia
Privately operated secure facility in the Exmouth Boat Harbour precinct offering eight large cyclone-rated pens for vessels up to 30 m long and 12.6 m wide plus a roll-on/roll-off landing craft ramp, with high-amp three-phase power, fresh water, perimeter fencing and CCTV, and repairs available next door at Base Marine.
Fremantle, Western Australia
The largest small boat harbour in WA, adjacent to the Fishing Boat Harbour and originally built to cater for racing yachts in the America's Cup; it now offers 64 serviced public boat pens across three jetties linked by a boardwalk. Entrance channel minimum depth is 4.2 m and fuel is available at nearby Molfetta Quay.
Hillarys, Western Australia
DoT-managed recreational boat harbour 13 nautical miles north of Fremantle with approximately 473 pens for vessels up to 35 m. Facilities include a six-lane boat ramp, 24/7 self-service fuel jetty (diesel and unleaded petrol), a service wharf and pen-holder amenities, with the Hillarys Marina Lifting Services boat lifting, storage and chandlery facility adjacent.
Hopetoun, Western Australia
Small maritime facility in the town centre of Hopetoun (population ~300) with a service jetty, boat launching ramp, hardstand area and public amenities.
Jurien Bay, Western Australia
DoT-managed boat harbour with rentable pens, four service jetties (power, water and 24/7 credit-card diesel on the fuel jetty), a concrete four-lane ramp and the Jurien Boat Lifters yard with a 48-tonne boat lifter, secure fencing and hardstand for vessel repair and storage.
Mandurah, Western Australia
City of Mandurah-managed marina at the entrance to the Peel-Harvey estuary with 405 recreational and commercial floating pens (8 m to 20 m) across North Harbour, South Harbour and Mary Street Lagoon, plus the Dolphin Quay market, retail and dining precinct. North Harbour marine businesses provide boat lifters and stackers, a chandlery, shipwright and repair services, and fuel and sullage pumps.
Ocean Reef, Western Australia
Major new marina precinct under construction in Perth's northern suburbs; breakwaters were completed in 2024, an eight-lane boat ramp opened in 2025 and first-stage boat pens are scheduled from 2026. Planned capacity is up to 550 boat pens (including superyacht-capable pens) and 200 boat stackers.
Onslow, Western Australia
DoT-managed facility about 550 m south of the Beadon Creek entrance used by the resources sector and fishing and charter vessels, with ten berths on mooring piles ('The Sticks'), a service jetty, dual public boat ramp and vessel diesel fuelling. Stage 2 of the Onslow Marina Community Boating Precinct will deliver new pens for recreational and charter vessels.
North Fremantle, Western Australia
Privately operated marina on the northern bank of the Swan River at North Fremantle, 3 km from the river mouth, with 176 fixed and floating pens from 7 m to 24 m, 15-amp power to each pen, free ice and 24-hour secure parking.
Point Samson, Western Australia
DoT-managed harbour protected by three breakwaters at Johns Creek, with boat pens (the harbour bed can dry at low tide), a service jetty, a land-backed wharf with heavy-lift pad, a dual-lane ramp, fuel by arrangement from pens, a hardstand and a three-pile careening pad that uses the area's large tides.
Dawesville, Western Australia
Privately operated floating marina on the Dawesville Channel only minutes from Mandurah, featuring wet and dry pens, a fuel jetty, bait and ice, a cafe/restaurant, boat repairs and boat sales, with casual overnight berths available.
North Coogee, Western Australia
City of Cockburn-managed marina on Cockburn Sound 5.5 km south of Fremantle, with 231 floating berths from 8 m to 30 m, metered power and water, free wifi, sullage disposal, swipe-card security and shops, cafes and restaurants on the waterfront.
Port Denison (Dongara), Western Australia

Geographe (Busselton), Western Australia

Port Gregory, Western Australia
Small wooden service jetty and toilets/showers at Port Gregory (population ~80), a fishing hamlet protected by 5km of coral reef; siltation currently restricts navigable depths.
Port Hedland, Western Australia
$187.5 million community marina officially opened in November 2024 and dual-named Pirra Pirra with the Kariyarra Aboriginal Corporation, featuring 22 cyclone-rated floating boat pens, a four-lane recreational boat ramp, a two-storey fishing jetty, fish-cleaning facilities, a maintenance hardstand and a separate entrance channel from the busy shipping lanes.
Broome, Western Australia
Broome has no dedicated marina; cruising vessels use the dry-season anchorage and moorings off Gantheaume Point and refuel by prior arrangement at the commercial wharf, which experiences one of the world's largest tidal ranges (about 9 m). The Kimberley Marine Support Base floating wharf provides high-flow diesel bunkering, and the Shire's Town Beach precinct offers a boat ramp and a 110 m jetty with temporary small-boat mooring.
Wyndham, Western Australia
Wyndham has no marina pens; recreational boating uses a boat ramp beside the port's barge-loading facility and the Anthon's Landing recreational fishing pontoon (opened February 2012, use requires prior Shire consent). The commercial horseshoe-shaped wharf on Cambridge Gulf is operated by Cambridge Gulf Limited.
Rottnest Island, Western Australia
